Everything You Need to Know About the Scent: 

This fragrance was developed by our perfumers specifically for Parfum sur Mesure and manufactured in Aubagne, Provence, in our workshops. 

 

This product complies with all European cosmetic standards (CLP EC No. 1907/2006 & 1223/2009/EEC) and French standards (IFRA).

 

This base contains naturally derived ingredients. As a result, its color may vary over time depending on its exposure to light, storage conditions, and temperature. In the technical specifications section of this product sheet, you will find the range of colors this fragrance may take on.

Fragrance notes

Top Notes: The top notes open with sage—aromatic and slightly camphor-like—immediately imparting a distinctive, Mediterranean herbal quality. Lemon, bright and sharp, adds its citrusy freshness, contrasting with the astringency of the sage. Marigolds—floral and slightly spicy with fruity orange accents—round out this opening with their unique, sun-kissed aromatic character.
Heart: The heart unfolds as rich and spicy, with great originality. Praline—sweet and caramelized—brings a warm and alluring confectionery note. Cardamom, fresh with a hint of eucalyptus, adds a precise and invigorating spicy edge. Tolu, a soft resin with a subtle vanilla note, creates a base accord already perceptible in the heart, giving the composition a distinctive oriental depth.
Base: The base is anchored in a deep oriental-woody accord. Patchouli, earthy and sophisticated, contributes its characteristic and long-lasting vegetal depth. Amber, warm and luminous, amplifies the oriental dimension with its characteristic richness. Rosewood, soft and slightly floral, complements this base with a delicate and romantic woody note, creating a deep, warm, and beautifully long-lasting oriental trail.

Differences in Use Between Scented Base and Formula

The fragrance base is the undiluted concentrate of the fragrance composition. It cannot be used without being diluted in alcohol. This base will allow you to “create” your own fragrance at the concentration of your choice. However, we urge you to read and follow the recommendations regarding maximum concentration and preparation.

 

The macerated formula is a ready-to-use fragrance. It consists of the fragrance base that has been pre-diluted in denatured alcohol according to the percentage indicated in this sheet. Once prepared, the formula is stored in a maceration tank for at least 4 weeks to allow its full richness to develop. It is then filtered to remove any impurities before being offered to you.

Recommended Use for the Scented Base

To measure out the fragrance in your creations, we recommend experimenting until you achieve the desired scent intensity. Each fragrance has its own strength and balance, which can affect the final result.

 

The higher the concentration of the fragrance, the more intense its scent and the longer it lasts.

 

Be sure to check the IFRA certificate, which is available for download on the product page. It specifies the maximum permitted fragrance concentration based on the intended use.

Origin & Manufacturing

All of our blends are crafted by our perfumers in our workshop located in Aubagne, in the South of France. The fragrance bases are mixed with alcohol and then left to macerate for 4 to 6 weeks to bring out the full essence of their aromas. The liquid is then filtered to remove any impurities before being bottled. 

 

Our fragrance bases are produced exclusively in France by our partners located near our workshop in Provence.

Dilute according to the recommended instructions in alcohol intended for this purpose and let it steep for at least 4 weeks. If necessary, filter the resulting liquid to remove any impurities. What is the difference between a fragrance formula and a scented base?

The formula we offer for this fragrance is a ready-to-use product. It is formulated—that is, diluted in denatured alcohol at the specified percentage—and then macerated for 4 to 6 weeks before being filtered to remove any impurities. The formula offers the advantage of being a quick, reliable solution based on the expertise of our perfumers. 

 

The concentrated base, on the other hand, must be prepared by you according to your desired concentration level. It offers you a wider range of concentration options for a 100% custom creation. 

How can I ensure that the product complies with regulations?

How should I store the product I'm buying?

To preserve your formula or fragrance base, we recommend storing it away from direct sunlight at room temperature (between 18 and 30°C). Formulas and fragrance bases do not respond well to sudden changes in temperature. We therefore recommend that you take care to avoid any thermal shock. 

Finally, most formulas/bases contain ingredients of natural origin. As a result, their color may vary over time depending on exposure to light, as well as on the year and/or season, since each harvest of natural ingredients can vary.

Can I order samples?

We do not offer samples. However, you can order our smallest sample-size container (available for most of our scents), which will allow you to "test" the scent.

How long will it take to receive my fragrance? 

If the product is in stock, it will be shipped within 24–48 hours. Once your order has been shipped, most of our shipping partners will deliver it within 2 to 5 business days. 

 

If your product is out of stock, this timeframe may be extended. If that is the case, our customer service team will contact you to provide an estimated shipping date.

Can I return the product if I'm not satisfied?  

If you change your mind, you can return your order at your own expense, provided the products are intact, unopened, and unused (and are not personalized items). That is why we recommend that, if you would like to try the products before purchasing a larger quantity, you order our smallest size to make sure the scent is to your liking.

 

If you wish to return an item, we recommend that you contact our customer service team, who will guide you through the process. Please note: You are responsible for the shipment of returned items. Therefore, we will not be able to issue a refund if your package is lost or damaged.
